From June 2–4, 2025, Lagos became the epicenter of bold ideas and transformative dialogue as WHX Labs convened its annual conference at the Landmark Center. Themed around "Transforming Healthcare through Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation," the event brought together pioneers, policymakers, and disruptors across healthcare, technology, and investment. Among them, EHA Clinics stood out as a participant and a passionate advocate for the future of African healthcare.
At the heart of EHA Clinics’ presence was Adam Thompson, Group CEO of EHA Group, who joined a forward-looking panel discussion titled “Driving Investment in AI and Digital Health: Unlocking Value, Scalability, and Innovation in Healthcare Systems.” Speaking to a packed audience of investors, technologists, and healthcare professionals, Adam delivered a message that was both urgent and visionary.
“In the U.S. healthcare industry, there are over 50 AI tools in active use today,” he noted. “But at the rate technology is evolving, many of those tools will be obsolete within just a year or two.”
His point wasn’t to dazzle with numbers—it was to sound a call to action: Africa must chart its own course. Instead of importing solutions designed for vastly different systems, we must invest in innovation that is purpose-built for African contexts.

Adam emphasized that digital transformation in healthcare cannot happen in isolation.
“We cannot waste precious resources on technologies that don’t address the core issues,” he stated.
Without parallel investments in critical infrastructure—electricity, broadband, and resilient public health systems—even the most sophisticated tools will fall short of their potential.
EHA Clinics’ mission is firmly rooted in this understanding. That’s why, beyond the panel discussions, the organization made a powerful impression through its live demonstrations of cutting-edge tools like EHACare, a proprietary Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platform designed for scalability in low-resource environments. Also featured were EHA’s Global Health Monitoring solution and other AI-enhanced technologies already driving tangible improvements in patient outcomes and operational efficiency across Nigeria.
These tools aren't theoretical. They're working today in real clinics, with real patients, bridging gaps in access, enhancing continuity of care, and ensuring healthcare is not just available, but effective and equitable.
For EHA Clinics, WHX Labs 2025 wasn’t just another conference stop. It was a rallying cry for a smarter, more inclusive healthcare future—one in which African innovators build the systems that African communities truly need.
As we continue to push boundaries and seek like-minded partners, our focus remains clear: transforming healthcare, not just with technology, but with purpose.
